Muted Blue Rust

Muted blue rust is a heavily layered abstract painting that is inspired b photographs I have taken of rusting metal and other high textured objects.

My love of highly textured paintings drew me to capturing this rusting process and the colours displayed during.

I am inspired by artists such as Gerard Richter and Frank Bowling, I believe this painting best represents these influences to date.

Thick mount board, oil and acrylic paint and spray paint have been layered to create this high impact composition which measures 90cm x 60cm
