Golden Sands
Golden sands are a pair of blue and gold coloured original abstract paintings.
They are made using crack effect clay, stone effect spray paint as well as liquid and acrylic paints on stretched cotton canvas.
The pair were painted for an exhibition space in Soho which incorporated elements of the rooms colours. The name came to me because of the rich gold and blue tones that reflect a textured beach scene.
The cracked clay exposes layers of colour underneath while the stone effect spray paint adds a rough rocky texture which works well with the crunchy clay.
Golden Sands was on display at the Industville lighting showroom during January 2018 and was sold in May. Each canvas measures 80cm x 60cm x 2cm.
