Magda
Magda is the name of a commission I created for a long term supporter of mine and the client of a previous commission, Magda.
This portrait used plaster and a neutral colour palette to create an elegant and textured composition on a 90cm x 60cm canvas.
Magda wanted to keep an element of the abstract style and to blend her portrait into the background, so the figure isn’t so obvious to begin with.
I loved the challenge of creating this type of hidden painting, and I think the colour combination of golds and creams with white and grey work beautifully.
